ANT
--PATIENCE AND SELF-SACRIFICE--

      Ant will struggle with a leaf many times His weight to get it back to the hill. Ant does not set the leaf down, or find a smaller leaf, He just keeps working until He is home. Since everything Ant does is for the benefit of the Queen, Ant is self-sacrificing. Also Ant is dedicated to the colony - a member of the construction crew.
      Ant's patience and colony dedication makes Ant have the long-term view of things. Ant does not worry about tomorrow, because He knows the day after tomorrow will always come. Ant has the insight to see that history unfolds a little at a time and the patience to accept that He might not be around to see the end result; nevertheless, Ant does His share to build that future.
      Ant may be telling you to stop worrying about the trees and start looking at the forest - the forest may grow slowly, but sure makes for a nice picture once it has grown.
      Ant wants you to develop trust that things are going where the Great Spirit wants them. Has something had you wanting an immediate solution to something that you just may not be ready to have over and done with? As much as you may hate hearing it, you will be provided what you need - it always seems to work that way, if you'll just admit it to yourself.
      If you have given up hope, Ant may also be telling you to have that same faith that you are worthy of having something you want - as long as you don't feel you should have it by depriving someone else.
      Something to remember here is that you can have anything you want, as long as you aren't taking something from someone else. For instance, the lottery belongs to someone else no more or less than it belongs to you, if the numbers have not been drawn. You can have it, though you might want to think in advance about what you will do with it to help you and those around you, before you win it.)
      Ant may also be warning you about someone coming in, who does not have the interests of anyone but himself in mind. You may be the target of this person. You will be best targeted through your impatience! If you can be gotten to via a get rich quick scheme, you are dead meat to this vulture.

ANTEATER
--NOSY GOSSIP--

      Anteater is the slow-moving old biddy who cannot resist sticking her nose into where others don't want it, to find out if there is a tasty tidbit to be taken. Look at all aspects of Anteater to decide the message.
      Are you sticking your nose where it doesn't belong? Are you talking about people in ways you would not like to be talked about?
      Is someone prying into your business? Do you need to be more careful regarding personal or private matters? Has your ISP and/or net account been hacked, and your information plastered across the net?
      Should you be checking every nook and cranny to ensure you haven't missed something significant? Are you in the middle of negotiating a contract, or buying a house or car? Take your time to make sure every aspect of the deal is in order and above-board.
      While Anteater may dig beneath the surface to find what She seeks, She does not climb into the caves to be deceptive Herself. She lets Her tongue do the dirty work for Her. Considering the bite of many ants, Anteater must have a hard tongue indeed to lap up the biting ants and be insensitive to their stings.
      Speaking of digging, have you noticed the claws with which Anteater is equipped? Are you ready to be ripped apart for crossing Her?

ANTELOPE
--ACTION--

      Antelope medicine reminds you of your strength of mind and heart, and prompts you to take quick and decisive action when things need doing. And chances are the time is NOW, if Antelope has made an appearance!
      Antelope comes to you to rouse you from lethargy. Antelope carries messages from the Great Spirit, so it's not a good idea to ignore the promptings of Antelope.
      Antelope may also be warning you that you have not been paying attention to the flags that signal you to act.
      And stop making excuses for not taking action! Walk your talk!!!!

ARMADILLO
--BOUNDARIES--

      Armadillo can roll into a ball, establishing a boundary impervious to attacks by enemies.
      Armadillo suggests that you might be letting things bother you which should not. Armadillo also suggests that, if you don't like having your boundaries violated, why are you doing this to others?
      Armadillo suggests you ask yourself, "Why do I allow others to take advantage of me, despite my displeasure?" Chances are you'll answer that you aren't sure where something stops being what you feel and starts being what you are expected to feel.
      When you join someone, and that person starts talking to you, and you feel depressed, or angry, or sad, or happy, stop for a moment and examine yourself.. Is this emotion you are feeling consistent, under the circumstances leading up to the conversation, with what you would have been feeling; or have you taken on the emotion the person talking to you wants you to take on in sympathy with what he or she is feeling? Yes, it is common for humans to do this, but is it healthy? Armadillo may be telling you that you should curl your armor into a ball (boundary) around yourself and protect yourself from emotions which are not yours and which do you no good.
      Armadillo may also be telling you that it is time for you to work on your own emotional problems, because other people cannot solve them for you. You should not expect everyone (or anyone) to take your side in an emotional situation. The other person may understand what you are going through, but why should he or she be expected to get angry, just because you are?
      You cannot be objective if you cannot tell where someone else's personality ends and yours begins.
      On the other hand, if you roll into a ball and pretend nothing bothers you, you are denying your vulnerability. If you are afraid of being hurt and are hiding from all other feelings, you will never experience the joy others may shed in your direction just for being in your presence.
      Here the difference is the type of energy being put out... you should not be expected to absorb anyone else's negative energy. Love is positive! Joy is positive!
      If Armadillo unrolls, Armadillo is vulnerable. Your fear of feelings, fear of rejection or fear of failure may make you think it is justifiable to protect yourself from all outside energies. In protecting yourself from all outside energies, you are rejecting the positive as well as the negative. You will be bound to returning for another life on this earth to learn the lesson of trust, if you do not learn to establish boundaries which will help you accept what is yours, and send what is someone else's away.
